“Like a good neighbour, State Farm is there…”. — Except they aren’t.
I did everything I could to save my home… And now, I’m doing everything I can to tell my story.
Why?
Because this story is not just mine — it’s thousands of families’ stories.
Thousands of people were dropped by @statefarm and other insurers just months before the California fires took our homes.
We tried desperately to secure any alternative insurance — and were denied.
We were told we didn’t qualify for the CA FAIR Plan (the government backstop) because our home’s value was “too high.”
I’m an entrepreneur. I’ve done everything “right.” I’ve worked my ass off to pay off a home for my family, to chase the American Dream.
But right now, it feels like that dream has turned into an American Lie.
Something has to change.

I hope this message reaches the right people, in the right places, to help drive real solutions for families like mine.
