Even in the ashes, I’ve seen the best of humanity.
Pastor Drew Sams @pastordrewsams and the incredible community of Bel Air Church @belairchurch suprised my family with a $5,000 donation to help us rebuild and reach our goal on the GoFundMe my sister set up.
But more than that, they gave us something even greater – reminding us that in the face of loss, love always rises.
Through the devastation of these fires, I’ve witnessed people give – freely, selflessly – not just to friends, but to total strangers.
Time, energy, resources, prayers, love… all offered without hesitation. Proof that the spirit in people is alive and stronger than ever.
I believe in LA.
Not because of its skyline, or it’s fame, or its current systems… but because of its people.
Because of YOU.

Within our conversation, Pastor Drew spoke about a phrase that keeps echoing in my mind…
“For such a time as this.”
A reminder that in moments of challenge, we’re also given an opportunity – to step up, to serve, to lead.
And that opportunity is given to all of us.
Pastor Drew and Bel Air Church have set up the Bel Air Fire Relief Initiative to support families like mine who have lost everything. If you feel called to help, you can learn more or donate here: belair.org/lafires
For everyone seeing this, and everyone who has supported us on our journey in anyway – Thank you. Deeply. You’ll never know just how much it matters 🙏🏻
